I love... pashminas!

I am completely in love with scarves and pashminas for winter.

They are just so cute! I love scarves as they are warm and look great, but pashminas are so warm, look fantastic and they're so versatile! I love that I can wear them different ways.

I only have a little pashmina collection, 3 of them, but I think that's enough. I can always find one to go with something I'm wearing if it's too cold for just a scarf, or if I want to feel nice and comfy. I'm planning to wear at least one of these on the plane with me when I go to the UK - maybe two!

It's getting warmer here now though and I'm wearing them less and less - looking forward to my UK trip when I can wear them every day again!

Do you have a favourite item of clothing you just can't live without in a particular season?

Selling my Bleu Nuit Paddignton

I thought I'd post this here before I try a few other places. I don't want to sell this through ebay as I'm worried about selling designer stuff on ebay, thought I'd offer it here first.

I need to get rid of some of my current bag collection to make room for some new styles!

I'm selling my 2005 Chloe Paddignton in Bleu Nuit - it's a gorgeous dark blue. I'd like to get AUS $900 including tracking and insurance worldwide, but I'm open to serious offers. You can pay through paypal, bank deposit or money order.

Bleu Nuit paddington

I can guarantee authenticity, but of course I will email you all the necessary pictures for you to confirm this yourself, or to get someone else to authenticate it for you. You can get a free authentication at the "Authenticate this Chloe" thread on the Purse Forum, where I am a member. This bag has been authenticated there before, and I'd be happy to provide you with the link to the previous authentication if you like. You can also pay for services like carol diva or mypoupette to authenticate for you.

It's in great condition for a 2005 bag, the handles have been repaired and re-enforced, see below picture.

Bleu Nuit handles

There is also a very small (less than 1 cm) bit peeling on the top of the padlock loop, as you get with the 2005 bags, and you can see the silver underneath showing through.

If you're interested or know someone who might be, my email address is mica259(at) gmail.com. I can send more pictures of anything you'd like to see.

Chloe bags

I've been so busy with work things, and obsessing about some new bag purchases for these last few weeks. I have a new bag on the way, which I'm very happy about, but it means one of my other bags has to go to make me feel less guilty!

I have too many Chloe bags I think! 6 at the moment!

Here's the little "family":
Chloe bags
Black Chloe Edith at back.
Left to right- Paddingtons: Jeans Moyen, Brun, Bleu Nuit, Castor mini paddington and Blanc mini paddington.

I really do need to sell one of them, but I'm not sure how to decide. It's hard as I use them all.

Spring Fashion

It seems everyone in the world has been raving about Luella. I agree, I loved some of the pieces and I think that the cute little floral mini skirts are great. I can see how if it was spring, you would really like to wear some of the pieces.

I've been seeing it everywhere in Australia - in the stores, and in advertisements. Lovely pictures like this:

Images taken from JayJays and ValleyGirl.

The one problem - it's winter here. It's freezing! (Or what a Queenslander calls freezing anyway). I think that most of these clothes will end up in the sale in a few weeks - even then it will probably still be too cold to wear them. Spring doesn't start until around September here. Today, it's dull and still raining after the weather we had last night cut our power 4 or 5 times.

I just had to share as I find the whole thing very puzzling...couldn't they have waited a month or two until it was warm enough to wear these clothes? I haven't seen anyone wearing these things even though they've been available for weeks.

Maybe I'm just taking more notice of this as I really want one of those miniskirts? Haha! That one from JayJays is calling my name. I'm going to wait until it's warm enough to wear it though. Oh dear, I must be getting old!!!

Bright Blue Nails

Over a week since my last post...I need to get organised!

I'm really into nail polish lately, and so inspired by Lilly Allen I figured I'd try some light blue nail polish and wear it with lots of pink.
(picture from Just Jared.net)
I love the colours in the picture, but the print on the dress is not really my style.

However, when I actually put it on, the nail polish turned out to be more of a turquoise. So I wore this outfit to work instead, as the turquoise perfectly matched the stripes of the top :)
Jacket: Just Jeans. Polo shirt: Tempt. Bag: Guess. Jeans: Sass & Bide. Shoes: Kmart.

I can't help thinking though, the turquoise polish would have went so well with my Mousse paddington...haha. Seller's remorse I think! Here it is against my lovely Jeans Moyen Paddington instead - looks almost blue.

I'm not sure if I'm classed as "too old" to wear such bright polish, as I'm not a teenager, but I have fun with it anyway!
i've also been tagged by the amazing Emma from allinyourinnerspace, here are the rules:
1. Link back to the person that tagged you.
2. Post these rules on your blog.
3. Share six unimportant things about yourself.
4. Tag six people at the end of your entry.

1. I prefer catching trains than catching busses.
2. I get terribly airsick when I travel by plane.
3. I prefer to read the book than see the movie
4. I've ran out of space in my bookcase, so I haven't bought a new book in years.
5. I love cookies and cream ice cream at Baskin Robins.
6. I like bright nail polish! :p

I'm tagging - anyone who hasn't been tagged yet and wants to do this :)

Studs

I'm really liking my studded bracelets at the moment...and I'm not sure where I got the idea from. Usually I wear minimal jewelry, and don't really have any "statement" pieces.

It all started with the purchase of the cute Icon Design studded bracelet...

...then the Mimco studded belt style bracelet. Studs, buckle, and 75% off, how could I resist?

Perhaps I've been unconsciously influenced by the Sex & the city movie and Carrie Bradshaw's studded belt, or the pictures of various celebs wearing studded bracelets, like Rihanna?

(image from Just Jared, here)

Normally I can pinpoint my specific inspiration for liking a set trend, this one has me puzzled. It's fun to wear though, I love my studded bracelets.

I wore the Mimco bracelet out on Friday night and got some funny reactions. Quite a few people insisted it was a belt, and wouldn't believe otherwise until I took it off and tried (unsuccessfully of course) to wrap it around my waist. Definitely a conversation starter, a really great bracelet! I'm so glad I bought it, and on sale too!

I love... my Jeans Moyen Paddington

I feel that I should begin this post with a small disclaimer: I'm in love with Chloe handbags, especially the Chloe Paddington.

Chloe paddingtons were an 'IT' bag in 2005, but that still doesn't stop me carrying them now. I really don't have the money to keep up with the constantly evolving fashion trends, so I try not to dress "trendy" anyway. You'll see me wearing these bags with cotton on jeans and tees, that I usually bought on sale, so I can afford to buy another Chloe bag! I have a small paddington collection going, and I love them all so much. Each one was a worthwhile splurge.

I'm a sucker for bags, bags are my weakness. So are jeans of course, and I'm trying to move away from the paddington obsession and the denim obsession.

My Jeans Moyen Paddington messed up that plan. Thanks to this bag, there will be a lot more denim based outfits in my future! :p

It's so cute though and it was the first paddington colour I fell completely in love with, so I can accept that I won't be cutting down my denim collection anytime soon.

It is the most amazing shade of blue that goes so well with jeans. If I'm not at work you can bet I'm probably wearing jeans and carrying this gorgeous bag around everywhere.

If anyone ever asked me what my favourite bag was, this would have to be it. I have never lusted after any other bag for as long as I wanted this one. I'm so happy I got it, and very thankful to my wonderful friend Sheree who sold it to me :)

Shopping Diary

I'm back :) Feeling much better now and having lots more time to spend on my blog, so happy about that!

I thought I'd share with you what I've been buying while I was away. Nothing much, just a few little things.

  • Awesome Mimco Bracelet.

I love this, been wanting it since I saw it for $200 at Mimco. I was obsessing about it. Then I was just walking past the boutique the other day and they were beginning to mark down things for the sale. So I got it for $50! So worth it!
The sale is still going on now in boutiques if you can get there, lots of bargains to be found.

  • Shoes!

A pair of brown boots, some brown heels and the cutest plaid style heels.

The brown boots I have been wanting for ages, they go so well with my Chocolate Chloe Paddington.

The brown heels are the style that was really big ages ago, everyone was wearing them. I can't remember which designer started it all unfortunately. I waited for them to go on sale, but of course they sold out everywhere instead! I finally found a pair in my size at Nine West, on sale from $149 to $59!

And those cute little plaid style black and pink heels were from kmart! I was looking around for a pair of black flats, but I saw these and had to have them. I love them, I think they are so different.

  • Another Chloe Paddington!

I traded away my Mousse Paddington for this adorable Blanc mini Paddington.
I loved my mousse bag, but sometimes I just wasn't loving the colour as much as my other bags. I traded for this one, and I'm using it a lot already. I have way too many Paddingtons now, but I just love the style, always have. I'm glad that my mousse went to a lovely new home.

Looks lovely, and I thought I'd share the competition with you all as haiku's are not my thing, but hopefully someone else has the creativity to win the great prize.

Good luck if you do enter!

Lack of Posts

Hi all!

So sorry for the lack of posts - on top of everything being so crazy at uni and work, I've gotten really sick. Hoping to start posting again soon, and getting back to reading everyone's wonderful blogs.

It's sale season and I'm missing out! There's sales on at Guess, Nine West, Cotton On, French Connection, Jeans West and Just Jeans, so enjoy the long weekend and take advantage of some sales! :)

Will be back soon.
